What is Youth Leadership Beatrice?
Youth Leadership Beatrice is a program designed to educate through experience, motivate young leaders, and enable them to take an active role in their community. We partner with area businesses and groups to introduce our students to leaders, non-profit organizations, healthcare, and entrepreneurs to teach them how to give back and be involved in our community. This will result in strong leaders who have hope for the future and the tools to influence a positive and progressive community.
When Does Youth Leadership Beatrice Meet?
This program is open to incoming freshman and sophomores. Applications for the upcoming class are due in April. Orientation for Youth Leadership is held in July. The class meets throughout in conjunction with early out Wednesdays at Beatrice High School. In addition to attending tours and engaging in panel discussions,
the students facilitate the crafts at Arts in the Park during the Charles Park Jamboree during Homestead Days.
Class size is limited.
Youth Leadership provides real-life experiences and gives students the support and structure necessary to deal effectively with those experiences. Youth Leadership Beatrice strives to provide students with leadership skills that will last a lifetime.

To apply, return the completed application to Beatrice High School or Middle School counselor's office or email the completed application to info@beatricechamber.com by May 2, 2025.
Open to incoming 9th - 11th graders at Beatrice High School.
