In 2023, the Beatrice Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with community volunteers and the City of Beatrice, embarked on a plan to build new welcome signs at the City's corridors. In cooperation with the Stake Your Claim Foundation, the committee is seeking grant opportunities and fundraising.
The committee will raise funds and oversee construction with the City of Beatrice supervising and providing some in-kind services, with the City maintaining the signs in the future. The goal to complete the fundraising efforts is October 2024.
The committee has sought out current bids from several local contractors to complete this project. The total estimated cost to replace all 5 signs is $400,000. With your help, these new signs will greet residents and visitors alike, with a new image representing our homesteading history while showcasing Beatrice as a new, progressive, thriving community.
Donor levels and recognition range from $50K & Up to $100 contributions.
